I Like the Cover Better: Motorhead - Shoot 'em Down
I love the original of this song by Twisted Sister. It's very TS and really feels like it could be a Brian Johnson-era AC/DC song with just slightly too many chords to really be AC/DC.
But the Motorhead version is everything that's good about the original and everything that is good about Motorhead.

265 Motorhead songs at the same time
This is pretty stunning.
And loud.
And yet listenable and fascinating.
I actually really like it. But then again, I love Lightning Bolt, so this just might be in my wheelhouse of melodically horrifying noise.

Rest in Peace you Philthy Animal
Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor, former Motorhead drummer, died at age 61.
You can hear him on the iconic Motorhead song, Ace of Spades.
You can also see him in the Ace of Spades documentary, here split into 5 on Youtube.
Thanks for the kick-ass drumming, Phil.

Motorhead on The Young Ones
Without a doubt, the finest musical moment on The Young Ones.
Except, perhaps, the non-singing bits done by Madness.
That's from Bambi, probably the finest episode.

Run Run Rudolph by Lemmy
Oh sure, some will prefer Chuck Berry, but in case that doesn't do it for you, Lemmy has done it, too.
Merry Christmas.
