Also one of my favorite AC/DC songs.

Possibly the best AC/DC song intro, too.

She sounds pretty damn fine, and if you're not banging your head to this, I'm not sure anything will get your head banging to anything.

She's a whole lotta woman, and this is a whole lotta song.

Let it be known that AC/DC is one of the greatest bands to walk the Earth . . . and this is possibly their greatest song.

AC/DC - Who Made Who

AC/DC is as pure rock and roll as you can get.

I loved this song from the first time I heard it, right around when the movie "Maximum Overdrive" came out. I liked the album it was on, though it was pretty much a greatest hits + extras album. It was a great listen.



I like the 80s Dr. Who level production quality on the video, here. Those guys could have confronted in a lost episode with Tom Baker. Maybe "Dr. Who and the Power Chord."

Joan Jett - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Joan Jett does nothing if she doesn't do good covers. So, so many:

- Roadrunner

- I Love Rock'n'Roll

- Light of Day

- Everyday People

- I Wanna Be Your Dog

- Starfucker

- Crimson & Clover

and more.

I don't count the Runaways songs as covers, she was in the damn Runaways. That's like when John Fogerty "covers" Credence Clearwater Revival. Seriously.

Anyway.

The original is better, but when is that not the case with AC/DC?

The Dictators - It's Allright

This track by The Dictators is so AC/DC that it could be an AC/DC song. Just imagine it's Brian Johnson or Bon Scott instead of Handsome Dick Manitoba, and enjoy.

Rest in Peace Malcom Young

If you haven't heard, we lost Malcom Young of AC/DC today.

Here is my hands-down favorite AC/DC song, by way of tribute:

AC/DC is a band where you just hear that power chord, that lead guitar magic of Angus Young. People say it's just simple, one-riff one-idea music.

They're wrong.

AC/DC songs are just as complex as they need to be. No more, no less. They don't waste any chords and they don't over-play their hand. If listen closely, you can hear all of the pieces coming togther oh so well. Listen to Let Their Be Rock live in 1978. It's not a simple song - it's just no more complicated than it needs to. Malcom's steady rhythm guitar is part of the underlying base on which it all lays.

I saw this little eulogy on Instagram from one of my favorite musicians:

Lost another legend today. He was the sole reason I wanted to be a rhythm guitar player. He was the man. No one could hold down the fort like this guy or hold a candle to him. Simply the best. I could only dream of being as good. (RIP)
